The small Czech-Silesian mining city of Havířov seems the most unlikely of places to have such a 1960s’-style, retro-futuristic train station, and indeed, until recently, the station was fighting for its life. This interior was successfully protected, but the structure no longer serves as a train-station waiting room. Photo by Mark Baker.
