The Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine story was authored by Esquire staffer Guy Martin. He wrote a couple stories about Prague during this time. I particularly love this line of his: ‘On this morning I can practically taste Prague: tatty, slightly shopworn from its 40-year bout with postwar Stalinism, but essentially dark, beautiful and, above all, chic in a heavy-footed Middle European sort of way.’ Image from David Speranza.
